Trekking
Nepal offers excellent trekking options to visitors from easy walking excursions to an arduous climb of the snowy peaks. And actually, one of the most rewarding ways to experience Nepal's natural embellishment and cultural assortment is to just walk through the length, breadth and the altitudes of the country.
Some trekking options: Teahouse trekking, back packing, self arranged trekking and trekking through operators. In teahouse trekking, you eat and sleep in hotels and teahouses (known as bhatti in Nepal where hot cups of tea, coffee and local or imported alcoholic drinks are available) dotting the trekking regions. Teahouse trekking is the most popular of all as you easily find a place to eat and sleep in areas you are familiar with. Backpack trekking is popular in areas where one would tent, cook individually or in groups. Another enthralling experience is the Pony trek. Pony treks following the same routes as other treks are offered mostly in the western region of Pokhara, Dolpo and Lo Manthang (Mustang).T
